Reatha Nell Smith, age 71, of Kennard passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at her residence.
She was born March, 13, 1949 in Lufkin to parents, John Turner and Betty Smith Turner.
Reatha was a hairdresser for many years working at the nursing homes where everyone loved her.
After her cancer diagnosis, she became an active member of the Cancer Support Group of Houston County.
Reatha loved her family with all her heart and was a wonderful friend to many people.
She was a member Tabernacle of Praise in Kennard.
Reatha is survived by husband of 54 years, Glenn Smith of Kennard; children, Richard Smith of Crockett, Stephanie Klein and husband, Roy of San Antonio, Clayton Smith of Crockett; grandchildren, Joshua and Neely Rawls of Livingston, Makayla Smith of Crockett, McKenzie Smith of Grapeland, Andrew Klein of Camp Pendleton, CA, Caleb Klein of San Antonio, Nolan Klein of San Antonio, Karli Klein of San Antonio; great-grandchildren, Jeb Oliver Rawls of Livingston; brother, John Turner of Huntsville; sister, Janna Johns and husband, Dennis of Huntsville; numerous other loving relatives.
She is preceded in death by parents, John and Betty Sue Turner; mother-in-law and father-in-law, H. O. and Mattie Smith.
Funeral services for Reatha Nell Smith will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2020 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Bro. Keith Smith, Bro. Terry Gibson and Bro. John Robert Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
