The World War II veteran served with the U.S. Air Force and received the Purple Heart, Distinguished Flying Cross, Prisoner of War Medal, and Air Medal. He was a lab supervisor with Shell Oil Refinery, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and Elks.
