Passed away Sunday at St Mary Healthcare in Lafayette, Indiana.

Son of Thomas and Evla West Butler.
Married Sue K. Kirk August 13, 1955 in Meridian, Mississippi. She preceded him in death April 21, 1991.
Survivors include sons Danny (Jan) Butler, and Doug (Kathy) and Brooks (Sandy) Pugh; eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by daughter Carla Arth March 28, 2019, great-grandson Kale Galloway, four brothers and three sisters.

Served in the US Air Force during World War 2, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, and retired with over 20 years of service.

He was then employed at TeePak in Danville, IL, retiring in 1993.

He was a member of the F. & A. M. Lodge #491 and American Legion Post #288 in Veedersburg, and the Zorah Shrine in Terre Haute IN.

Graveside service 10am Thursday September 10 at Danville National Cemetery in Danville, Illinois with military honors by the United States Air Force.
