Mike passed away after a long illness on Aug. 3. Son of the late Walter V. Shay and Elizebeth P. Shay. Mike was born November 8, 1941 in Santa Monica, CA. He lived most of his life in Ventura but also lived in San Diego for twelve years. He worked as an Industrial Mechanic for many years. He liked cars, motorcycles and his Guitar. He loved his family, friends and his dogs! Mike lived his life to the fullest and on his own terms.
He is survived by his son Patrick, brothers Philip, Victor (Lee) Shay, nieces Tami Shay, Lori (Rich) Jacoby, Christine (Kenny) Coker, nephew Gregory (Jennifer) Shay and six grandnieces, a grandnephew and two great-grandnieces.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
