Mrs. Peggy Joyce Young age 88 of McMinnville, TN, died Thursday September 04, 2020 at Traditions of Spring Hill.

She was born on September 19, 1931, in Smithville, TN, retired from Century/Magnetek after 30+ years of employment.

Peggy loved to cook, enjoyed hosting a weekly family night for over 30 years, and was a member of Madison Street Baptist Church.

Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her parents Lemuel Pinkney and Cora Lee Bond Medley, husband William Jack Young, and siblings Bernice G. Curtis, Eve L. Hickman, Roxie M. Foutch, Jack L. Medley, Bailey R. Medley, and Nelda Lee Medley.



She is survived by her sons Tim Young and Mark Young, daughter Jackie Kay (John) Dodson, grandchildren Tyler Young, Tegan (Cory) Bettis, Keeley (Bryce) Hitchcock, Natalie (David) Sanderson, and Weston Vaughn, and great grandchildren Baylor Hitchcock, Kyndal Hitchcock, Kimber Hitchcock, Danny Sanderson, and Drew Sanderson. Several nieces, nephews, and family friends also survive.



The family sends a special thank you to Kindred Hospice and Traditions of Spring Hill for their care and compassion.



A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 06, 2020 at DeKalb Memorial Gardens Cemetery of Smithville, TN. Dan Stirnemann and Harlen Simmons will officiate. The family and friends will meet at the cemetery and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
