Per both Arnold's Genealogical Dictionary of Rhode Island, p. 202, and modern researcher Bruce Tillinghast, author of The Tillinghast Family in America: The first Four Generations, John was born in September of 1657. He may have been buried in his father's lot in the center of Rhode Island, the only lot not moved when the town expanded, or be buried in Newport.
