Minnie A. Valentine was born July 5, 1871, in Washington Township, Pickaway County, Ohio, daughter of Andrew and Ellen Metzger Valentine. She was likewise the granddaughter of Joshua and Margaret Drum Valentine, natives of Frederick County, Maryland, and Berks County, Pennsylvania, respectively. Minnie was married twice. On February 23, 1892, in Shelby County, Ohio, she married John W. Miller, son of John T. and Ella N. Miller. They were the parents of one son, Harry Andrew Miller. Minnie married 2nd on March 30, 1905, in DeWitt County, Illinois, to Charles Theodore Williams, son of William Fletcher and Mary S. Moore Williams. They apparently had no children together. Minnie passed away on October 6, 1916, in Farmer City, DeWitt County, and was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery there.
