Aged about 66 years, buried in a bush grave at Nullagine in the East Pilbara District.
A miner (ex shipwright) who had been ailing for about 10 days, but kept working in extreme heat. It is believed his death was caused by sunstroke as he only wore a small calico cap on his head at this time.
Born 1828, so of Morgan Thomas, cooper. Transported in 1850 as a 'ticket of leave man' on board the convict ship 'Scindian'. He was granted a conditional pardon 28/08/1860.
