WILLARD M. BAKER
May 8, 1943 - August 19, 2020

Willard M. Baker, 77, of Greensburg, Indiana, a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, and faithful servant of God, made his entrance into Heaven on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.

He was born May 8, 1943, in Clarksburg, a son of the late Robert Lee Baker, Sr. and Lucille L. (Whitney) Baker.

Willard spend his life dedicated to his family and his faith. He served in the US Army from 1961-1964. He was happily married to eannetta (Fletcher) Baker on September 17, 1966. They had three biological children and had three adopted children. He and his wife were foster parents for over 50 years, caring for 128 children.

A pastor for seven years, Willard was long-time member of the Clarksburg Covenant Church where he served as Sunday School Teacher for many years, Song Leader, and Board Member. He worked at Levensteins Abbey Carpet in Greensburg for over 43 years.

Those left to cherish Willard's memory include his loving wife of 54 years, Jeannetta Baker; four daughters, Julia (John) Yagle of Indianapolis, Stephanie Baker and Danielle (Kenton) Everhart both of Oklahoma City, OK, and Becca Baker of Greensburg; two sons, effrey and Jeremy Baker of Greensburg; one granddaughter, Mia Everhart, many foster grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, John (Waltraud) Baker of Texas and Robert Baker Jr. of Laurel and three sisters, Iva Milburn, Katharine Browning, and Martha Baker all of Greensburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lula (Ivan) Lawrence and Carolyn Sue Baker, and two brothers, Harlan Baker and Ernest Baker.

Due to Covid 19 and the concern for spreading the virus, maska and social distancing are required. If you are experiencing any symptoms of the virus please refrain from attending.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the Clarksburg Covenant Church, 6696 N. County Road 700 E. Clarksburg, IN 47225 with Pastor Dan Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5-8 pm Monday at the Church.

The family requests, in honor of Willard, if you overcame Covid 19 and have antibodies, please donate your blood in order to help save someone's life.

Arrangements are entrusted to the car of Sproles Family Funeral Home in New Castle. You may offer the family a personal condolence at www.sprolesfamilycares.com.

A funeral service will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on 2020-08-25 at Clarksburg Covenant Church, 6696 N County Rd 700 E. Clarksburg, IN, USA.
