Ernest "Ernie" Baker, 67, of Greensburg, the man that sat on the porch waving at everyone that went by.

Ernie passed away on Nov. 16, 2016 in Indianapolis. He was born on June 10, 1949 in Rushville to the late Robert and Florence (Whitney) Baker. Ernie worked as a custodian at Delta Faucet from 1973 till he retired in 2005. Ernie collected John Deer tractors.

He is survived by his sons, Jeff (Tammy) Sweet of Greensburg, Michael Sweet of Greensburg, and Charlie Ernstes of Greensburg; brothers, Robert (Nora) Baker, John (Waltraud) Baker, Harlan (Cindy) Baker, Willard (Jeannetta) Baker; sisters, Iva Milburn, Martha Baker, and Katharine Browning; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen Sweet; sister, Lula Lawrence; and great-grandson, Trysin Ernstes.

Services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016 at 1 P.m. in Moster Mortuary with Brother David Steidel presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. that same day at the mortuary. Burial will follow in the Clarksburg Cemetery.
