While working in the Grover Canyon Saturday last George Lyman Dutson met his death instantly by being struck by two rolling logs. He and two of his sons and Marlow Anderson were piling timber. Two of the boys were snaking their logs down to the skid and he and one of his sons were trimming and sawing them into proper lengths; After sawing one log the two pieces rolled down the hill and as Mr Dutson was on the lower side her ran down the hill to get out of the way. Fearing that they would overtake him he turned and faced them and endeavored to jump over them but he was struck and both logs rolled on top of him. He was dead when the logs were lifted from him and Dr. West is of the opinion that he must have died instantly as his neck was broken.
His death comes as a sad blow to his family and friends for he was all that goes to make a good husband, father and friend. The Grover ward will miss him, for he was a faithful Latter Day Saint, and energetic worker in the Priesthood and in the Auxiliary Associations. He was without an equal in visiting the sick both on account of his faith and his general knowledge of medicines and their healing properties.

Van Leuven.
