November 23, 1944 - August 20, 2020
Ralph Rogers, Jr 75, of Harrodsburg, husband of Annetta Dunn Rogers died Thursday, August 20, 2020 at his home in Mercer County. Born November 23, 1944 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Ralph and Louise Isham Rogers, Sr. He was a retired Kentucky State Police Trooper, former Mercer County Deputy Sheriff, Farmer and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed traveling, camping, playing cards, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his three sons: Tim (Dana) Rogers of Campbellsville, Ralph (Robby) Rogers,III of Harrodsburg and John David Rogers of Lawrenceburg, one daughter, Rita K. Rogers of Harrodsburg and one brother, William David (LaVerne) Rogers of Harrodsburg: grandchildren: Chase Rogers, Eli Rogers, Audrey Young, Sadie Young, and Silas Young. He is preceded in death by one sister Joyce Ann Bast.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday August 25, 2020 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Greg Warren and Phil Yates officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Burgin Memorial Gardens with Chase Rogers, Eli Rogers, Eddie Bast, Silas Young, Johnny Rogers and Ralph Rogers, III serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Yates, Bruce Raines, Robbie Stamps, Hanley McMullin, Terrell Simpson, William Rogers, David Noel, Eddie Russell and Rick Moberly.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and from 7:00 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday.
