md. Sutton, 30 Jan. 1770, Hannah, dau. of Amos & Mary (Curtis) Singleterry. She was b. Sutton 15 Mar. 1753 & d. Millbury, 26 Feb. 1842. She md. 2nd 1 Apr. 1783, Solomon Dwinel.

served as a Private in Captain Andrew Eliot's Minute-men Company of Colonel Learnard's Regiment which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775 and was discharged after 8 days. Jonathan marched from Sutton, Douglas, and Northbridge in Captain Bartholomew Woodbury's Company of Colonel Lernad's Regiment on December 09, 1775. Jonathan enlisted in Colonel John Holman's Regiment in June of 1778, was detached to Captain John Putnam's Company of Colonel Wade's Regiment which marched from Worcester County to join the army under General Sullivan at Providence, RI on June 20, 1778 and was creditted with 21 days service.
