José Latherio "Bean" Bernard
A resident of Port Allen, he died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at 3 a.m. in an automobile accident on La. 76, at age 32. Visiting at Hall's Celebration Center on Friday, Sept. 7, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Gregory Williams, of Houston.
Interment in Old Folk Home Cemetery in Port Allen.
He is survived by his grandmothers, Leanna Bernard and Catherine Murray, both of Port Allen; daughter, Destiny Ariel Lockett, Port Allen; goddaughter, Brianna Brimmer; three sisters, Kedra C. Bernard and husband Aaron Johnson Sr., and Ieasha Bernard, all of Port Allen, and Mahal Watkins and husband Justin, of Aptos, Calif.; five brothers, Ahmad Daigre Williams, Herman Daigre Jr., Sam Brimmer Sr., Jamie Murray and Curtis Trusclair Jr., all of Baton Rouge; aunts, Sue Bernard, Beverly Brimmer and husband Cliff, Baton Rouge, Marian Kramer and husband Ginn, Detroit, Renee Leonard and husband Troy, Plaquemine, Stephanie Brown and husband Ian, Miami, and Crystal Murray, Baton Rouge; uncles, Leo Bernard and spouse Glenda, and Joseph Murray and spouse Alicia, all of Baton Rouge, and Eric Murray and spouse Bobbie, and Allen Bernard and spouse Pat, all of Dallas; four nephews; and a devoted friend, Sherlonda Scott, Port Allen.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Audry Bernard; father, Michael Murray; and grandfathers, Sam Bernard Sr. and Joseph Murray Sr.
