Edgar Richardson Edwards, 91, of Beebe, formerly of Sheridan, died September 16, 1997, at Central Arkansas Hospital.
He was born at Sheridan on January 14, 1906, a son of the late Earl and Virginial Crutchfield Edwards.
He was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church of Sheridan and a retired farmer.
Survivors include a son, Eddie Edwards of McRae (White County); and two daughters, Louise Goodwin of McRae and Bernice Myer of Cave City (Sharp County); three sisters, Thelma Whitmire, Amanda Fitzgerald and Adeline Poe, all of Sheridan; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Corinth MissionaryBaptist Church with the Rev. Robert Cossey officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery near Sheridan by Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
