Aged 56 years, 1 month, 9 days.

Sharon K. Perkins-Vasquez, age 56, of Battle Creek, passed away shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6th at Bronson Battle Creek surrounded by her loved ones.

Sharon was born on November 28,1961 and was one of five children to Dennis and Barbara (Motter) Perkins. Sharon first attended Battle Creek Central and would later graduate from Miller Stone in Battle Creek. A few years later she would enroll at Kellogg Community College and study nursing before deciding to become a C.E.N.A. Sharon worked at multiple nursing homes in her career, The Evergreen Manor and Laurels of Bedford to name a few. She would also work as a waitress at Denny's and Bob Evans before being forced to retire for medical reasons.

Sharon would marry Thomas Marion of Battle Creek and become the mother of five children herself. She would later marry Juan Vasquez of Battle Creek who passed away in 2017.

Sharon would experience many wonderful things in her 56 years, but without a doubt, being a grandmother to all of her 13 grandchildren was by far Sharon's greatest honor! She loved every one of her grandchildren infinitely and unconditionally! She was an amazing mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend with a beautiful soul! She was blessed with an unforgettable smile and huge heart! Her love for life was contagious and for all these reasons she will never be forgotten!

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Mark and Timothy Perkins; and her angel grandson, Joshua. Sharon is survived by her twin sister, Sherry Perkins (56) of Battle Creek, and sister Sandra Constant (54) of St. Joseph; her five children, Thomas Marion II. (37), Michael (Christina) Marion (33), Nicole Marion (32), Shannon Densmore (31), and Daniel (Chasley) Marion (29), all of Battle Creek; her grandchildren, Aniya (15) of Mt. Pleasant, Asia (15), Anisa (15), Kaylie (12), Michael Jr. (12), Anna (12), Thomas III. (11), Abbie (10), Ryan (8), Sofie (4), Mae (3), and Izzy (1), all of Battle Creek. She also was very close with and loved very much, her countless nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 16th at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Battle Creek where funeral services to celebrate Sharon's life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Hicks Cemetery in Pennfield Township. Memorials directed to the family would be appreciated.
