Angela Petersen, 68, passed away on August 12, 2020 in Mesa, Arizona.
Burial will be at Mesa Cemetery. Arrangements are by Meldrum Mortuary. Memorial service to be announced.
Angela Petersen was born in San Diego, California to Philip and Kathleen Petersen on September 11, 1951. She went to school at Grossmont High School in La Mesa, California. She graduated from Brigham Young University and received her Masters of Education from Arizona State University. She worked as a high school English teacher for Mesa Public schools for 22 years. She was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had a passion for music, ballroom dance, theater, and intercultural relations.
Angela is preceded in death by her son, Matthew Miller; her brother, Brent Petersen; and her parents Phil and Kathleen Petersen.
Angela is survived by her children Amber Miller and Rachelle and Heath Connett; siblings Jeff Petersen and Lani Reynolds; grandchildren Drew Jones, Drake Jones, Dravyn Jones, Blake Gilder, Brookelle Connett, Caden Connett, Zach Connett, and Michael Miller; and former spouse, Grant Miller.
