Grover Pioneer Called By Death
Mrs. Margaret Anderson of Grover passed away Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Astle after an illness of more than five years.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Salt Lake City in 1858, in a wagon while her parents were on their way south at the time of the general southern movement from Salt Lake city. She lived in Mantua for a good many years where she married A.P. Anderson at the age of 16. They later moved to Chesterfield Idaho and from there they came to Star Valley where she has lived fro the past 35 years at Grover.
Sister Anderson has lived an honest upright life and has well done her part in this life. she is the mother of ten children, six of whom survive her. they are J.A. Anderson of Fairview, Luella Griffith and Milo Anderson of Grover, Lucy Hyde of Auburn, Iva Astle of Green River and Tennie Astle of Afton. She also reared her sisters boy, Peter Anderson. She has two brothers, George Ipson of Willard, Utah and John Ipson of Bloomington, Idaho
The funeral was held at Grover Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Grover meeting house.
A.C. McCombs opened the services and consoling remarks were made by O.P. Peterson, L.C. Jensen, Lary J. Halling, John Hepworth, and Bishop R.S. Thurman. The songs were "Resting Now From Care and Sorrow". "Sometime We'll Understand" and a solo by Mary S. Hepworth "O My Father".
