Stephen Allen Brown, 68, of Decatur, passed away Monday, August 10, 2020, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Stephen was born August 9, 1952, in Decatur, to Robert Eugene and Constance Mandrell (Behymer) Brown. He married Sharon Kay Ellis on December 4, 1981. He was an owner and operator of B & E Trucking, for many years. Stephen loved gardening, fishing and being in the outdoors, but most of all, he loved cooking and was amazing at it.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sharon; his four children, Kenneth (Michelle Walsh) Brown, Krystal Brown, Richard Gillespie and Bobbi (Philip) Batchelder; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Rusty (Debbie) Brown, Robert (Marla) Brown and Teddy (Darla) Brown; and two sisters, Joan Gatica and Jenna (Stanley) Lamb.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Susan Martindale; and one granddaughter, Stephanie Brown.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of Stephen Brown will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2020, at Illini Cemetery in Warrensburg, IL.
