In 1942, as a young girl, Jane and her family moved to Orange County, Ca., where she attended Lathrop Junior high and Santa Ana high school before meeting and marrying her high school sweetheart, George Anthony "Tony" Kovatch, who preceded Jane in death in 2013 after 62 years of marriage. Donations may be made to Heartland Hospice Care, 3700 Old Redwood Hwy Ste 103, Santa Rosa, Ca 95403.
