Jane Evelyn Peters, 62, of Ridgeway, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 at her residence in Ridgeway, Virginia.
She was born June 11, 1958 in Henry County, Virginia, to Vernon Wesley Peters, Sr., and the late Maybelle Boyd Peters.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ronda Hale Peters and brother in law, Jimmy Thomas.
Jane attended Grassy Creek Baptist Church. Jane was a tenacious, people person who loved kids, sunflowers, and southern gospel concerts. She was previously employed by Springs Global.
Jane is survived by her sisters, Jean Peters Thomas (Steve), Ruth Peters Thomas, and Rebecca Peters Fugel (Billy); adopted sister, Susan Penn; brothers, Daniel Peters (Lorrie), Vernon “V.W.” Peters (Susan), Timothy Dean Peters (Sandy), William David Peters (Karen), Kenneth Arnold Peters (Tina), and Leslie Wayne Peters (Hope); and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 11:45 A.M. Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Grassy Creek Baptist Church with Bro. V.W. Peters, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be 45 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Grassy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Special thanks to Mountain Valley Hospice, Betsy, Greer, Teresa, and Tamya.
