Former Resident of Burlington Passes Away
Burlington - A former resident of Burlington, Albert M. Seyller, 74, died Sunday, February, 22 at his home in Elgin, where he had resided for the last seven years. He was born in Burlington April 14, 1884, the son of Ignatius and Kate Seyller. In 1907 he married Eva Blank. He was the rural mail carrier out of Burlington for many years and for 16 years operated from the Elburn office, retiring nine years ago.
His death is mourned by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Adeline) Mengeling of Hampshire and Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Johansen of Geneva; four sons, Charles (Marie) and Marlowe (Maren) of Aurora and Howard (Elsie) and Russell of Elgin; ten grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Rose Engel of Peoria Heights; and two brothers, Edward of Geneva and Nels of Kewanee.
Two daughters, three sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday of last week at 1:30 p.m. from the Frederick Funeral Home in Hampshire; Rev. Elbert Ihne officiating. Burial was in Burlington Union Cemetery.
