Son of George and Annie Dennison Yeadon, he attended local schools including Drury High School which he left to join the Marines in WWI.
He worked first as a carrier and then as a clerk in the North Adams Post office retiring in 1964 after 38 years. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and a life member and past commander of the Frank R. Stiles Post 125 of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, the former Janet Madison, whom he married on September 11, 1926, a son, and two grandsons.
