James Monroe Sechrist was the son of Andrew and Mary Sechrist. He came from a large family. He married Mary Laws,in 1872 in Missouri. James and Mary had a large family. Mary preceded him in death in 1919. James Sechrist was a brother to twins, father of twins, uncle to twins, grandfather to twins, great grandfather to twins and great great grandfather to twins and twins have run on down through the generations to come in his descendants. He was also a good fiddle player and played performing at functions in the Erath Co Tx area where he was a farmer and he was a postmaster there, in the long ago. James Sechrist died at Sweetwater Oklahoma.
