Jesse R. Patrick was born in 1794 in South Carolina. He moved to Mississippi and got a land grant from Rufus, Rankin, Mississippi USA. He and his wife, Mary Ann Moore Patrick, caught a fever (probably Yellow Fever and died before 1851. His brother Timothy Meshack Patrick, 1800-1870, Picked up Jesse and his surviving children. Sadly, Jesse died before reaching Meshack' plantation, He died sometime before 1851 in Gum Spring, Scott, Mississippi USA. Meshack buried him at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Jesse was a veteran of the War of 1812. Possibly the land grant was payment for his service in the War of 1812.
