James Leroy Garrison, aged 30 years, died at his home in South Morris street Sunday night, June 18, 1939, at 9 o'clock following a two-day illness of a heart attack.

The deceased was born in Gilmore Township, a son of Charles V. and Rosie Shough Garrison, who survive along with one sister, Mary, wife of Patrick Ely, Jr., of McKeesport. He was a former employe of the Peoples Gas Company and was a graduate of Waynesburg College with the class of 1937, and was a member of the Phi Sigma fraternity. He had just recently been removed to his home from the Greene County Memorial Hospital where he underwent an operation.

Funeral services for James Leroy Garrison, of Waynesburg, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Garrison home, South Morris street, in charge of Rev. W. Rufus Hofelt, assisted by Rev. George S. Maxwell. Interment will be in the family cemetery at the Garrison homestead near Jollytown. Friends will be received at the home.
