Services for Mrs. Ethel Austin Smith were held December 3 at 2 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home chapel.
Officiating was Rev. Thomas R. Patete. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery, with Oliver in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Smith, who was 82 years old, died December 1 at Tyler Holmes Hospital, following an extended illness. She was a native of Choctaw County and the wife of the late Payton Y. Smith. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Winona.
Surviving are a son, Paul Austin Smith, Galax, Virginia: a sister, Mrs. Lula Keltner, Mobile, Alabama; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Robert Wilson, Fred Watts, Cecil Barnett, J. H. Simpson, Robert Stockton, and Herbert Adams.
