Oliver C. Frost was a carpenter and the father of a large family. In 1880 they were still living in their native town of Monmouth, Maine, but by 1886 had moved to Boston. There Oliver was killed in a terrible fire while working on the building of the Metropolitan Railroad Company. His remains were brought home to Monmouth.
Oliver's wife, Cornelia, also did not die an easy death. She died of an appendicitis attack, in Boston in 1895.
