Wanda Louise McConnell, 89, passed away peacefully in the evening of August 2, 2020.

Wanda was born to Charlie and Lilly Daniel on May 17, 1931 Wilson, Oklahoma. Wanda was the fourth child born of seven children. She married Charles Edward McConnell in 1946.

Wanda was a devoted and loving mother of four, grandmother to six and great-grandmother to seven. Her love in life was caring for children. She was a mother to any age child that needed her. If you needed a home, you would have one with her. She had a passionate love for wild birds. Wanda loved her family and was surrounded at home by family until the age of 85, when she had to move to a nursing home. Even then, Wanda had almost daily visits by her children, friends and long-term, loving sitters until she left this earth to meet her Lord. Wanda believed that Jesus had prepared a place for her in her Fathers home in Heaven and was looking forward to being reunited with her son, husband and family who had preceded her in death. ( 2 Corinthians 5:1-2 )

She was preceded in death by her first born son, Elsie Mac; her husband, Charles E. McConnell; parents, Charlie and Lilly Daniel; three sisters; and one brother.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Leo Daniel; daughters, Cathryn McConnell, LaVon Wallum and husband, Cliff; son, Johnny McConnell and wife, Laura; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials: Donations in memory of Wanda can be made to Nature's Edge Wildlife and Reptile Rescue, P.O. Box 136012, Fort Worth, Texas 76135.
