Ingeborg K. "Robi" Robinson, 93 years young, of Youngsville, PA, and formally of Sheffield, PA, went to be with her Lord, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, August 3, 2020, at UPMC/Hamot, Erie, PA.
She was born January 9, 1927 in Berlin, Germany, a daughter, and only child, of Gustav and Hanna Boeckh. Her family moved to Wetzlar, Germany, during her youth. Inge met the love of her life, Clinton A. Robinson during his tour of duty following WWII, as an MP, in the US Army. They married on October 22, 1948. As a "war bride," she came to the USA on a ship with other war brides and made her home, initially in Sheffield, PA, with her new family. She loved the USA and living in Pennsylvania because it reminded her of her home in Germany. She became a naturalized citizen in 1956.
Inge was a loving wife and mother, giving her full support and guidance to 3 daughters and their husbands, as well as, her only grandchild and his new wife. She also taught the importance of respect, love and faith for family and God. As a very caring and giving person, Inge became an LPN and worked at the Warren State Hospital for 30 years. She also worked part-time at Levinson Brothers and Bon Ton. After her retirement, her only grandson, Clint (CJ), was born, who brought her so much joy and gave her the special name of "Mema."
Inge's favorite past times included music and reading, She was, also, very creative with sewing, knitting and crocheting. Her crocheted dolls were so good that she won blue ribbons at the Warren County Fair. Animals held a special place in her heart and there was always a dog or cat in her home. “Bootie,” her favorite cat was with her for 20 years.
She was an optimist who had the greatest laugh and could find humor in any situation. Her favorite words of wisdom were: “never be too proud”, and “there is always a reason for everything.” Her family and friends were very blessed to have her in their lives and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughters; Darlene (Lee) Johnson, Cedar Park,TX; Becky (Ted) Laird, Erie, PA; Pamela Bimber, Pittsfield, PA; grandson, Clint (Yazmin) Johnson, Austin, TX; step granddaughter, Brenda (John) Perrin, Mocksville, NC; step grandson, Gregg (Misty) Bimber, Jr., Russell, PA, nieces: Dawn (Fred) Smith, Russell, PA, Glenda Miller, Warren, PA; nephew, Glenn (Valerie) Carlson, Warren, PA, and her best friend Arlene Clark, Dade City, Fla. and her dear friends Chris and Debbie Seybert of Erie, PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton A. Robinson; sister-in law, Violet Irwin; son-in-law, Gregg L. Bimber; nephews: Randall Leichtenberger, Richard Leichtenberger, and Robert Kraft.
