Carolyn was an accomplished cook and was proud of her talents turning them into a career cooking at many restaurants and venues throughout Southwest Iowa over the years including Bluff View Motel and Café near Glenwood and Cubby’s at I-29 and Highway 2 near Percival. She enjoyed sharing her food preparations with family and friends. Carolyn was very close with her brother, Alan Heiman and his wife, Belinda and lived with them for several years helping care for their home and family. She spent her favorite times watching westerns on TV, going through her Scratch Off Tickets hoping for that Big Payoff and traveling to see family in Missouri including those in the Cameron area.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; several brothers and sisters; and her sister-in-law, Belinda Heiman. She is survived by her brother, Alan Heiman of Farragut, IA; several nieces and nephews including Chris Heiman and Jay Heiman both of Council Bluffs, IA and Beck Monahan of Louisiana; close personal friends, Tammy Parsons and Sheila Harbin as well as many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Friday, July 10, 2020 at Waubonsie Cemetery northwest of Tabor, IA with Mr. Gary Moles of the Bartlett, IA Community Church officiating. There will be no viewing or visitations and memorials will go to the Farragut Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
The Crawford- Marshall Funeral Chapel in Tabor, IA, is in charge of arrangements.
