After his honorable discharge, he came back to La Crosse to further his education at La Crosse State College (now UWL), graduating with honors and playing both football and tennis. There he met his beloved wife Donna M. Morgan and they were married August 20, 1955, in Waupaca, Wisconsin.

Jack also contributed greatly to his community, spending time as a Carbondale Junior Sports coach and board member for baseball, basketball and football, an active member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. He enjoyed physical and outdoor activities, especially teaching his children to fish and golf.
Jack and Donna just recently moved to Appleton, Wisconsin to be closer to family. He will be greatly missed by his wife...
