During Marvin's 30 years of work, he managed grain elevators and was a truck driver. Upon his retirement, Marvin and Dora owned a fishing resort in Lake View, Ark.
Marvin was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a carpenter's mate third class and he served on the USS Solace. He was awarded the Victory Medal, American Area Campaign Medal and Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal.
Marvin was a pilot and an instructor.
Marvin is survived by his daughter, Cynthia (Tom) Mahr; his son, William Lee (Janet) Mason; his grandchildren, Eric Mason, Jeremy (Erin) Mason and Jenna Mahr; great-grandchild, Whitney Flaugh; brother, George (Marilyn) Mason; and sister, Evelyn McClintick of Chillicothe, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dora; and his granddaughter, Tricia Mason.
