Elizabeth Eldred was born about 1570. She married John Adcocke on October 7, 1593, in Attleborough, Norfolk, England. She died between June and September of 1638, just after her two daughters Julian (wife of John Sutton) and Neele (wife of Stephen Paine) emigrated to America on the ship Diligent. Her husband John died in December of the same year and was buried in Great Ellingham on Dec. 10, 1638, presumably in St. James Churchyard. Elizabeth is believed to have been buried next to him.
