Services for Jeannette S. Altman will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Bermuda Baptist Church with burial in Bermuda Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Due to Covid-19 the funeral will be for family only.
Mrs. Altman, 69, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 at the Mullins Nursing Center.
Born in Dillon County, SC, December 1, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Carl Gene Stubbs and Odessa Ford Stubbs. She was a member of Bermuda Baptist Church where she was the Treasurer, Pianist, and Sunday School Teacher. She graduated from Lake View High School, and Lander University. She taught school in Greenwood and Dillon County schools for 35 years.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, W. J. Altman of Dillon; sons, Chad Dickerson (Robbie) of Lake View, and Craig Dickerson (Julia) of Germany; step-daughters, Janet Altman Paschal, and Tracy (Terry) Anderson, sister, Sarah Stubbs of Dillon; brother, Bobby Stubbs of Dillon; grandchildren, Brooke & Sarah Paschal, Connor & Leah Anderson, and Serafina "Fini" Dickerson; special nephew, Robert Stubbs.
Memorials may be made to the Dillon Camp of Gideons, P.O. Box 1503, Dillon, SC 29536, or to Camp Pinehill Baptist Retreat, 2096 Baptist Road, Bennettsville, SC 29512.
