Levi Phillips, 93, died at 1:25 AM today in his home near Spraggs, Waynesburg, RD 4. He had been ill two months.

Mr. Phillips was a son of Judge Jesse Phillips and Mary Spragg Phillips. His father was elected associate judge of Greene County Courts in 1881, to serve with President Judge J. T. Elbin.

He was born Dec. 3, 1853, in Wayne Township and is believed to have lived longer than any other resident of that township. His wife, Mary Ellen Stewart Phillips, died ten years ago. All his life was spent in Wayne Township, where he was a prominent farmer and stockraiser. He was a member of the Spraggs Methodist Church. He was also a member of Kuhntown Lodge No. 262 IOOF, since March 1907.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. W. H. Cole, Waynesburg, RD4, and two brothers and one sister, Dr. George W. Phillips, of Morgantown, W. Va., T. E. (Doc) Phillips, Spraggs, RD, and Mrs. Debbie Finchum, Woodward, Oklahoma. One child, and seven brothers and one sister are deceased.
