Early Life: Dan was born October 3, 1941, in Pocatello, Idaho, son of Dean Elmo and Camilla M. Olsen Evans.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: On May 27, 1967, he married Mary “Jo” Gongaware in the Idaho Falls Temple. Dan taught math at Springville High School for 32 years and was an excellent teacher. He loved his students. He also loved studying military history. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dan served as a bishop and many other callings. He was a quiet man, but was a friend to everyone. Daniel Boone Evans, of Springville, Utah, died July 29, 2020, of heart failure. He was 78.

Survived By: His wife, Jo; his daughter, Kristi (Keith) Anderson, of Springville, Utah; his sons: Kevin (Heidi) Evans, of Ridgecrest, California; and Byron D. Evans, of Springville; seven grandchildren, plus two unofficially adopted granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
