Mrs. Kate Flanagan, 52, of Athens Route 5, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 8, following an illness of seven months.
Mrs. Flanagan had lived in the Coxey community all her life, having been born in Limestone County.
Services will be held today at Valley View Cemetery by Bro. M. A. Creel, of Cullman, at 3 p.m. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery, Spry directing.
She is survived by her husband, Uriah W. Flanagan; one son, Fred Flanagan, Athens; four brothers, John, Bill, Milton and Commodore Jenkins; five sisters, Mrs. Frank Durham, Athens, Mrs. W. O. Halbert, Missouri, Mrs. Pearl Rose, Athens, Mrs. Jim Gordon, Athens, and Mrs. Lora Chittam, Madison.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
