Margaret Rebecca Moran July 2, 1936-November 5, 2018

Margaret Moran died in the early morning hours November 5, 2018 from complications of heart disease. She was born July 2, 1936 to Joseph P. and Genevieve Moran in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the youngest of their five children. She was baptized and attended grade school at St. Francis Catholic church in Tulsa and graduated from Marquette High School in 1954. She attended college at Marymount College in Salina, Kansas where she earned a bachelors degree in Medical Technology. She worked in the medical technology field for many years in Tulsa and St. Louis, Missouri, specializing in the blood bank division. She also worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for several years as a second career.

Margaret was always one who stood up for the underdog and under privileged. For years she and a small group of people would serve breakfast and conversation on Saturday mornings to the homeless, sometimes over 100 people, at the Day Center for the Homeless in downtown Tulsa. They called themselves "The Brady Bunch".

Margaret was preceded in death by her father Joseph P. Moran, Sr, mother Genevieve (Burke) Moran, her brother Joseph P. Moran Jr, sisters Mary Armiger and Genevieve Braniff, and nieces Jeanne (Braniff) hardey and Diane (Moran)Leek. She is survived by her sister Rosalie Hahn and her husband Shelton, 22 nieces and nephews and a host of great nieces and nephews.

Her nieces and nephews remember her as Aunt Margaret, who often would have fun creative activities for them as children. They have such fond memories of Christmases, coloring books, and gingerbread houses. She also loved to travel and loved everything Irish, but most of all, she loved Jesus and her Catholic faith. We can smile as we imagine her playing an epic game of canasta up there with her mom and sisters!

A Rosary will be prayed at 9:15 am followed by the Funeral Mass at 9:30, both on Thursday, November 8, in the chapel of Christ the King Catholic Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
