Jim Wright Herring
A shadow of sorrow fell over Winona and Montgomery County Wednesday evening, when it was learned of the death of Jim Wright Herring, 68, who died suddenly from a heart attack while sitting on his front porch about 6:00 p. m.
Mr. Herring was born in Montgomery County and spent his entire life here. He was rural route mail carrier until four years ago when he retired on a pension.
Funeral services will be held at the family home on Fairground Street, conducted by Rev. N. C Hickman at 4:00 p. m. today. Interment will follow in Oakwood cemetery.
The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mollie Hoffman Herring; one daughter, Mrs. Purnell Brooks, and three sons, Bernard of Baltimore, Maryland; Elmer of Okolona, and Charles of Winona.
