Mrs. Mary Oglesby Evans, aged 76, passed away at her home in Winona Tuesday afternoon, July 17, following a brief illness. Funeral services were conducted from the family residence by Rev. Horace Villee, pastor of the local Presbyterian Church, at 3 o'clock. Interment was made at Oakwood cemetery.
Mrs. Evans was born and reared in Lodi, Miss. Following her marriage to William D. Evans, deceased, she made her home in Winona. She has been a member of the Lodi Baptist church since childhood.
She is survived by her six children, Mrs. Randolph Oliver, Winona, Walter D. Evans, and J. T. Evans, Memphis, Clinton Evans, Clarksdale, Fred Evans, McKinney, Texas, and Miss Anna Evans, Winona and twelve grandchildren.
