Joanne, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2020. She was born on June 4, 1930 in Buffalo, to the late Clyde and Evelyn Defler. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul D. Buckert, whom she married on October 27, 1950 in Rochester; her son, Kevin Buckert on June 29, 2017.
She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1949.
She is survived by her son, Mark (Kathy) Buckert of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Paula (Tim) Reynolds; daughter-in-law, Cathy Salvaggio; sisters, Jacqueline Hyde, Janice "Sally" Rohe; nine grandchildren; Matthew (Susan), Heather (Robert), Nathan (Aimee), Benjamin (Deborah), Michael (Molly), Kyle (Brianna), Andrew (Ellen), Spencer, Mitchell; fifteen great-grandchildren; many nieces; nephews and dear friends.
No prior calling hours. Interment will be private, for the family only, in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
