Friends of Mrs. Clarence Abels, formerly Miss Mary Dunn, teacher in the McComb City schools, regretted to learn of the death of her husband, Clarence H. Abels, merchant and farmer of Lexington, Miss. Mr. Abels succumbed at his home in the Lexington community, Friday June 6.

The deceased was prominent in activities of the locality in which he resided for many years. He was a Mason and a business man of high standing.

Survivors in addition to his wife, include four sons, Clarence H., Jr., Evander James, Frederick Eugene and David Dunn Abels, and his mother-in-law, Mrs. E. G. Dunn of McComb.

Mr. Abels accompanied his wife to McComb May 30 to attend graduation exercises in which their niece, Miss Mary Elinor Bickham, received her diploma from McComb High School.
