1820 aged 84. In Memory of Ann Boone, Wife of George Boone Sen. departed this life the 28th. day of March, 1814 the mother of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Regarding George/Ann's children - according to Samuel Boone, George/Ann had 12 children (6 sons and 6 daughters) that all with one exception lived to adulthood. There is some minor confusion on this point. Samuel's list did not include John Linville Boone and listed Nester as the youngest sibling. Ann "Nancy" Linville was born in 1744 at Shelby County, KY. As of 28 November 1764,her married name was Ann 'Nancy' Boone. She married George Boone Sr., son of Squire Boone and Sarah Morgan, on 28 November 1764 at NC. Ann "Nancy" Linville moved at KY in October 1779. She died on 28 March 1814 at Shelby County, KY. She was buried at Boone-Harris Graveyard, Richmond, Madison County, KY. The cemetery located in what had been Boonesborough near present-day Richmond, KY included the graves of both Nancy and her husband George Boone. The inscription read: Ann Linville Boone, wife of George Boone, Sen., departed this life 28th day of March, 1814, the mother of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, 182." The grave stones disappeared when the cemetery fell into disrepair between 1976 and 1987.
