Marriage and Death have been making an unusual stir in Hookstown...The funeral of Andrew Marshall and Mrs. Lyons, old residents, who lived near Hookstown, took place yesterday afternoon.

Jane Lyon about 70, a resident of Hookstown and widow of Jonathan Lyon who volunteered under the name of Jonathan Lyon at Pittsburgh PA on 11 AUG 1862, Pvt in Co. D 139 PA war of 1861-1865 who died after discharge of disease contracted in service on the 18 JAN 1882 at Georgetown, Beaver County PA. She was married under the name Jane Wright to said Jonathan on OCT 1843 by Sala Pruden a J.P. at Beaver County PA. Her husband had been previously married to Nancy Dawson, who died in or about the year 184-. Abraham Lyon was born APR 1866 was under 16 at the time of his father's death.

She was married under the name of Jane Wright to Johnathan Lyon on the 17 SEP 1849 by Salah Pruden J.P. at Georgetown had been previously married his first wife died 26 SEP 1847. The children who are under 16 at the present time are:
a) William Lyon born 28 JUL 1854
b) Lewis Lyon born 10 AUG 1857
c) Margaret A. Lyon born 2 MAY 1859
d) James Lyon born 12 OCT 1862
