Services for Mrs. Lila Roberson Black, 77, were held at 2:30 p.m., December 26.
Mrs. Black died Christmas day at the Tyler Holmes Hospital, following an extended illness. A native of Montgomery County, she was a member of the Southside Baptist Church.
Revs. C. E. Burden and Robert Ellis officiated at services at the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, with Oliver in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are three stepchildren, Orville Black, in military service; Mrs. Naomi Coleman, Clarksdale; Mrs. Fannie Ella Owens, Payne; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Lake Coleman, Oscar Bennett, Leo Blaylock, James Robinson, Harry Schumacher, and Jimmy Robinson. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Howard and Jim Williams.
