James Carol Winchester, 84, of Greenville, South Carolina, died Tuesday, July 21, 2020.

Born in Oconee County, and one of eleven siblings, he was the son of the late Homer Eugene and Ollie Mae (Alexander) Winchester.

He was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina and served in the United States Army. James was a retiree of Stone Manufacturing Company where he served for over 40 years. He was also an aficionado of antiques with a passion for collecting, restoring and researching antiques glassware, pottery, lamps, art and furniture, among other items.

He is survived by daughter Carol Ward, a son-in-law Morris Ward, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A private Graveside Service will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Park Friday, July 24, 2020. In lieu of flowers, a tribute gift may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Friends are encouraged to leave the family 'Hugs from Home' condolences on our website.
