Nancy married John Wood on May 8, 1844 in Montgomery, Texas. The couple had the following known children:

p.83-84 Estate of E. A. Ware, deceased; partition of estate. Sarah I Kincheloe, John C. Ware, Eliza A. Ware Fenley, Amanda E. Bowles, Clarissa E. Ware, and Susan T. Ware, all residents of Uvalde County, Texas, are collaterally kindred of said deceased of the whole blood and that Richard M. Ware of said County of Uvalde and Nancy Wood of Hays County, Texas, are collateral kindred of the said deceased of the half blood and that William R. Davenport and John F. Davenport of Bexar County, Texas, as representative of their deceased mother Mary Davenport are also collateral kindred of said deceased and of the half blood and that kindred aforesaid are the only heirs of said decd Elizabeth A. Ware and that they are entitled each to a share in the partition and distribution of said estate of which said heirs said Sarah I. Kincheloe is represented by her husband Robert H. Kincheloe who also as their lawful guardian represents Clarissa E. Ware and Susan T. Ware minor heirs of said estate, that Amanda E. Bowles is represented by her husband W. B. Bowles, that Nancy Wood is represented by her husband John H. Wood, and that said William R. Davenport and John F. Davenport minors are represented by their father and guardian William Davenport and it further appearing to the court that said Richard M. Ware, John C. Ware, and Eliza A. Fenley are not present or represented in court and that no advances out of said estate to any of said heirs have been made and that the estate to be distributed consists of the following:
120 acres of land and an undivided interest of 320 acres on Kings Fork of Cedar Creek in Kaufman County granted to William A. Ware, assignee of Fredrich Houston. Also an undivided one half of 310 acres of land in Bexar County granted to William Smith; one undivided half of a negro woman named Jemima said negro is about 25 years old; 85 head of cattle, 12 head of hogs.
Above listed property to be partitioned and distributed among: Sarah J. Kincheloe, Eliza A. Fenley, Amanda E. Bowles, John C. Ware, Susan Texanna Ware, Clarissa E. Ware, and Richard M. Ware of Uvalde County, Texas, and Nancy Wood of Hays County, Texas, and William R. and John F. Davenport of Bexar County.
Commissioners to make partition: Silas Webster, G. P. Snow, William C. Watson, and William C. Denson. Partition as follows: 2/15ths each: Amanda E. Bowles, Eliza E. Fenley, Clarissa E. Ware, Susan T. Ware, Sarah J. Kincheloe, and John C. Ware; 1/15th each: R. W. Ware and Nancy Wood; 1/15th jointly: W. R. Davenport and J. F. Davenport. Upon representation of R. H. Kincheloe that the undivided half of a certain negro child named Annice, issue of the negro woman Jemima aforesaid, commissioners were authorized to appraise the interest of said estate in said child and also to proceed to partition and distribution of said interest in said child among said heirs in the manner as above described.

p.87-91 Estate of Elizabeth A. Ware, decd -- C. C. McKinney appointed Guardian ad litem to represent Clarissa E., and Susan I. Ware in the partition of the estate. Commissioners’ report: to Sarah Jane Kincheloe, wife of Robert H. Kincheloe, 23 head of stock cattle marked with a crop off the left ear and a swallow fork and an underbit off of the right ear; valued at $178.00. To John C. Ware, 23 head of stock cattle marked with a crop and underbit off the left ear and a swallow for and an underbit off of the right ear; valued at $178.00. To Eliza A. Fenley, wife of Joel D. Fenley, 23 head of cattle marked with a swallow fork and underbit off each ear; valued at $178.00. Amanda E. Bowles, wife of William B. Bowles, Clarissa E. Ware, and Susan T. Ware also each were allotted 23 head of stock cattle valued at $178.00. Richard M. Ware and Nancy Wood, wife of J. H. Wood, were each allotted 11 head of cattle valued at $89.00. William R. Davenport, Jr. and John F. Davenport were jointly awarded 11 head of stock cattle valued at $89.00. The partitioners found the said negro woman Jemima and her child Annice to be “incapable of a fair and equitable distribution and to partition between said heirs and have therefore as the law in such cases provides appraised the interest of said estate in said negro woman to be worth the sum of $450 and have further appraised the interest of said child to be worth the sum of $75.00”. The real property of the estate remains to be partitioned. The court examined the commissioners’ report and ordered Administrator Robert W. Kincheloe to deliver unto each of said distributes the respective portions of said estate. Sarah J. Kincheloe, one of said distributes, offers to pay the appraised value of said interest of said estate in the negro woman Jemima and her child Annice, which action was approved by the court. Sarah Jane Kincheloe by her agent J. M. McCormick paid to Administrator Robert H. Kincheloe the sum of $525.00, which was dist among the heirs as follows: $70.00 each for Sarah Jane Kincheloe, wife of Robert H. Kincheloe; John C. Ware; Eliza A. Fenley, wife of Joel D. Fenley; Amanda E. Bowles, wife of W. B. Bowles; Clarissa E. Ware; and Sarah F. Ware, $35.00 each to: Richard M. Ware and Nancy Wood, wife of J. H. Wood. $35.00 jointly to William R. Davenport, Jr. and John F. Davenport.

Davenport, their portion of estate; John C. Ware, his portion of estate; R. M. Ware, his portion of estate; William B. and Amanda E. Bowles, portion of estate allotted to heir Amanda E. Bowles. Also a quitclaim to R. H. Kincheloe from Nancy Wood and husband J. H. Wood of Hays County, Texas, to all their claim in Estate for the consideration of $70.00.
