James Edmund Cody

September 1, 1924 - July 18, 2020 - Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather.

Born in El Paso, TX, James served during WWII as Sergeant in the Army Air Corps. Upon his honorable discharge in 1946, he enrolled at University of Texas at El Paso.

James was introduced by his father to Bonnie Lee, who would later become his wife.

Upon graduation, he worked at a banking institution, but then applied for a management position with the Southern Pacific Railroad in El Paso.

As he would say, "We, as a family, made seven corporate moves" across the Southwest and California.

His final transfer was to Reno, NV in 1963 as the Southern Pacific official responsible for the train operations across Northern Nevada.

James retired from the railroad in 1983.

James and Bonnie enjoyed sailing in the Caribbean. His preferred station was at the helm. They also enjoyed their travels throughout Europe by automobile,

He now joins his wife Bonnie, the love of his life, and we know their journey continues.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 9:30 am at Our Mother of Sorrows Most Holy Redeemer Chapel, with burial to follow.
