Mrs. Emma Green Russell died at the home of her grandson, Howard Russell, near Lobb, Wednesday, July 1 at the age of 81 years. The daughter of the late William and Catherine [Sherrill] Strader, she was born September 7, 1871. She was united in marriage to James J. Russell, Oct. 14, 1890. To this union 11 children were born. Her husband and two children preceded her in death. She professed faith in Christ early in life and joined the Ladies Chapel Methodist Church where she remained a member until death. She is survived by nine children, T. W. Russell, Lobb, Clyde Russell, Donansburg, J. T. Russell, Newt, Carl and Chester Russell, Lobb, Mrs. W. L. Sidebottom, Gabe, Mrs. Roy Bell. Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Claud Zirkle, Knox, Ind., Mrs; Lucion Vance, Donansburg, 23 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 5 nieces, and 2 nephews. The remains are at the Keltner and Bennett Funeral Home in Greensburg until time for services which will be held Friday at 2:00 p. m. at the Nazarene Church in Summersville. Burial will be in the family cemetery.
